Dog Grooming for dogs that bite.

Long story short, dogs that bite get rejected by dog groomers.

For some dogs, going to the groomers is like going to the dentist for people like me.   A stranger coming at you with sharp objects is rater unpleasant.

If you have a dog that you feel needs regular grooming, its probably best to start bringing them to the groomers as puppies so they a accustomed to it from a young age.   Also be sure you go to a reputable groomer as there have been known to be some terrible ones out there who don’t treat other peoples dogs very kindly.

Isn’t he ADORABLE!
This is my mom other’s dog Einstein.  He was adopted from a shelter in Sacramento California and has never liked the trip to the groomers.  She has tried several different groomers.  There have been some success stories with him, but now she has moved to Washington and has not been able to  find a groomer there who will take him.

The best way for her to do it is to be sneaky.  Wait until he is sleeping and creep up with a pair of scissors (quiet ones) and silently snip while he snoozes.  Its pretty hilarious actually, and the hardest part is trying not to laugh and wake him up.

My mom ordered this dog Scaredy Cut pet grooming kit from Amazon to her help her trim dear Einstein :
